Week 6/7 - Television Commercials - 30 second segments, 1:00 minute segments. Time slots Rating systems for television stations and shows.
Projects - Groups Create a TV commercial from their products they decided. Present the Commercials in class and students give feedback on their work. Reflection piece. Storyboards. Rubric
Week 8 - Radio Commercials - 30 second segments, 1:00 minute segments. Time slots.
Projects- Groups Create a Radio commercial from their products they picked. Present the Commercials in class and students give feedback on their work. Reflection piece. Radio Script writing. Rubric
Week 9 - Super Bowl Commercials - Dissecting good advertisements and poor according to target audience and effectiveness. PowerPoint Project Rubric. See Super Bowl Commercials Tab for more info.
Week 10 - Social Media Q/A over Effective Marketing Strategies using Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.
Online products and hashtags to demonstrate social media advertising.
Assignments and webpage lookups.
Week 11 - Product Placement - In movies, TV shows, Games, pop-ups on webpages, youtube.
Project - PowerPoint finding examples of these segments and discussing them in front of the class. Reflections Rubric based.
Week 12 - Color Theories, Guerrilla Marketing Campaign, Logos and slogans.
Assignment based - Color Theories packet and video.
Assignment based - Guerrilla Marketing video, and product lookups on youtube.
Present findings to class on overhead and Reflect effectivness.
Assignment based - Logos and slogans evolution of change over time. Video, Pictures, and timelines
